I couldn't have been more excited when I stumbled upon this video in Livejournal's CRG community! There's actually an entire video playlist of interview segments which I wanted to post, but Vox doesn't allow us to embed videos via HTML just yet. Hmph! Anyway, the videos gives you a great insight into what Camille is like as a person, as well as the meaning behind each of her shows. Very interesting. You'll definitely want to watch all eleven or so videos if you're a fan. (Be sure to click the video which will redirect you to youtube where you'll be able to see the other segments.)

Also, there is a sneak peak of her prototype cloth dolls in the video in which she discusses her sculptures. They are incredible!! I hope she's able to find someone to help her manufacture them. I need them!!

Can’t wait to get to some high speed connections to watch this, I know you call them dolls I call them sculptures but its always nice to see and hear the persons mind behind their creations… “I need them!!” I wish I could say I have never felt that way but I am poorer over old photographs and other shiny items…. Hopefully I Need turns into I Have ……Jamie

I call them dolls because Camille herself calls them dolls. ^_^ They're not highly constructed like her installation sculptures such as Cherrygirl Liberation army - which were made of various materials. These are made of one fabric and are either printed or hand painted. I'll post a screen shot of them soon.

I guess I still run with the stigma of Dolls are for girls, action figures are for boys. But I find in my mind lots of Dolls and Action figures are actually more of an art form like sculpture, and they keep coming out with such new items like vinyl and plushies all capturing such wonderful ideas and concepts in making the old outdated idea of a girls doll or a boys action figure a thing of the past. Thanks for you time Celena can’t wait for more of you blogs on stuff you like. I find this stuff all so interesting!

I completely understand where you're coming from and thanks for the kind words. ^_^ I hope to start posting more. Until then, I posted the screen shots for you.
