Original artwork is a beautiful thing.
I purchased this lovely six inch wooden sculpture from Rotofugi Gallery back in the beginning of July. Thanks to Mr. Ketner and Mr. Rotofugi himself, Kirby Kerr, arrangements were made for me to get my hands on anything of my choice. Rather than opting for a painting, I bought this beautiful sculpture as I thought it was a perfect translation of Jeremiah's characters from 2D to 3D. It's as if it jumped right out of one of his paintings! it's absolutely beautiful and serene. I fell for it as soon as I saw it. The plan is to house her in a box frame next to my forthcoming Ketner painting. Until then, she sits happily in my Bertby cabinet amongst the vinyl toys and plush.

I have a two foot long twelve inch in diameter peace of a tree but to carve on but it still looks as if it came from the tree!
But I do love your newest acquisition it dose look as if it came from the pictures and I think if it came in a shiny vinyl or other material besides wood it wouldn’t have that just stepped out of a picture look.
Jealousy is a bad thing so I feel how lucky you are! Good choice, your collection must be getting more and more fantastic by the acquisition.
Are you into carving/sculpting?? If so, do you have any pics of your work? People who can carve have such a talent.
I think it'll do you a lot of good to start working with your hands again. Can be very therapeuti!
Lexi - Thank you!
It's so beautiful. Thanks to a few free Jeremiah Ketner postcards I picked up at this cute cafe and your help, I've become more familiar with his work. He's extremely brilliant when it comes to making simple thoughts and ideas come alive. Brilliant.
I was kicking myself for not asking Kirby about Jeremiah's work when I was at Rotofugi a few months ago. I'm making myself remember to ask about him when I go there next...
