i wasn't going to post until i had photos to share of the belated birthday gifts i received last week from a few of my wonderful, caring, generous friends (i love you all!), but i realized if i waited until that happened, you'd all think i'd gone missing (haha).  i haven't been able to get anyone to help me take photos of my lovely gifts.  i'm really trying my best to be patient about the whole thing.  i know my family members are busy and don't have the desire or urgency (like i do) to take part in a "photoshoot" of my posessions after they're done with whatever it is that has kept them busy all day.  i realise it's just "one more thing" to add to the checklist before they can sit down and relax.  i feel guilty for asking them to help me with yet another thing, the hundredth thing of the day.  it's just all so frustrating!  not being able to do what you want when you want is quite possibly the most frustrating thing a person can endure.  no one can hear, but i'm screaming at the top of my lungs in my head.

i'm going to remain hopeful i'll have something to show by the end of the week.

i missed my bible reading today.  now i'm TEN days behind in my "read the bible in a year" program.  i was doing so good until kristin's last visit home.  she's not to blame, i just didn't read anything the entire time she was here and now i can't seem to catch up.  i'll read an extra few chapters with the intention of catching up to where i should be and then i'll skip a day (like today) and backslide.  now who's being frustrating?

i have, however, been doing a little prophesy studying.  it's incredible to see how things are lining up and getting into position.  it's interesting to read in the old testement (ezekiel 27 + 28) how modern day russia, iran, sudan, and turkey will form an alliance against israel in the end days.  it's even more interesting to know russian president putin recently made a multi-BILLION dollar arms deal with iran - the country run by mahmoud ahmadinejad who refers to america as the "big devil" and israel as the "little devil" both of which he'd like to see "wiped off the map" and claims the reason for forgoing his uranium enrichment program is to "generate nuclear fuel for electricity."  what a comedian.  the world better take notice.  once iran has developed nuclear weapons, ahmadinejad will use them.  his goal is to speed up the coming of the "madhi."

i wonder what percenage of americans pay attention to world news?
