What gift from a parent do you remember the most?
Submitted by jorge456.

She was the best gift my parents have ever given me.
I miss her more than words can say.

When you were younger, were there any game shows that you religiously watched and wanted to be a contestant on?
the only game show i've watched with any consistency is "the price is right." i still watch it to this day. i can't recall how long i've been watching it, but i can say i don't remember life without bob barker. he's been a regular guest in our living room for as far back as i can remember. though he's gotten on in age, he doesn't miss a beat. the games are still exciting and if i could be a contestant and pick any game of my choice, it would be "plinko!" what could be better than winning cold, hard cash?
oh! i also loved "double dare." getting messy to win prizes was always so appealing to me. i remember when "family double dare" came out, i would get so pissed at the children for being slow during the obstacle course causing their family to lose. ha.
Do you have any tattoos? If not, if you were going to get inked, what would you get?
i don't have any tattoos though i've been contemplating getting one for the past five years. i even went as far as attending a tattoo expo with steph two years ago to get an idea of pricing and to try to find an artist with a style i liked. it ended up being overwhelming and i left with nothing but a handful of business cards.
as much as i'm drawn to body art and would like to get inked, i don't think i will. my problem is i'm somewhat indecisive and tend to go through phases of liking a particular artist. last year, when i was most anxious to get one, i wanted either something by mark ryden or camille rose garcia. couldn't decide between the two. not a good sign. my luck i'd get something and love it, then fall out of love with it a few years later. OR (and what is my worst fear) the artist wouldn't do mark or camille's work justice and i would be absolutely horrified. unlike my art pieces, tattoos can't be replaced with a new one. of course you can get one covered up, but no one ever wants to do that. it's a headache you don't want to have to deal with.
my idea of getting an artist piece then turned toward getting something representing my faith - a cross or the name Jesus. still pondering the idea. it's something i know i would never regret. not only would it represent my faith which i'm very proud of, but it would also help me in times of weakness by reminding me who i represent and Who's in control.
we'll see.
If you could get someone in your life to start a blog, who would it be and why?
it would definitely be my sister. i tried to get her to start a livejournal long ago, but she's just not into it. i don't think she's ever kept a journal of any form unless she has and i'm completely unaware it. i highly doubt it though. she's somewhat of a private person. the thing is, even if she did decide to blog i'm not exactly sure she'd want me reading it. not that she doesn't trust me (although she was pissed i told our parents she smoked - though she has since quit, yay!), there are just some things you don't want your sibling(s) knowing, you know?
my second choice would be my long time friend, holli. we've kept in touch on and off since high school, but not as much as i'd like to. since we're both terrible at calling each other and almost just as bad at emailing, i suggested we'd keep in better contact if we both kept blogs. not exactly. after months of subtle hints she finally joined livejournal. i was happy for the first week or so that she posted. however, shortly afterward her posts were few and far in between until they stopped completely. or so i thought. it turned out she never stopped posting, she just posted private. i was/am the only person on her friend's list. well, i tried.
What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?
hmm, this is a tough question seeing as how i was such a candy junkie growing up. i still am to be honest. i don't think i ever really grew out of my sweet tooth. i absolutely love sugar and thank God sugar returns the same setiment. had it not, i'd probably be morbidly obese right now (ha). actually, i would never let that happen. i have no patience for obesity. i'm just thankful i have an ultra-fast metabolism.
back to the question, i guess i'd have to go with reese's peanut butter cups. to me, there is no better combination than chocolate and peanut butter. the flavors mesh together so perfectly. to this day, i'd prefer a peanut butter cup over any other candy with one exception - godiva's white chocolate bar. talk about delicious. words can't accurately describe how smooth and creamy and delicious their white chocolate is. simply amazing. i pick one up every time i'm near a godiva store, which isn't nearly often enough.
