I uploaded this to Flickr and thought I'd share it with those of my Vox friends who are semi-voyeurs like me. I love to see photos of where people live. Their decor and collections reveal part of their personality. My decor is obviously that of colorful cuteness. Japanese pop art is a heavy influence to the kind of art and toys I collect. my tiny 7.25" x 7.25" (framed) TADO giclee arrived today from wurst gallery in portland, oregon! it's from the gallery's current show, wurstminster dog show, featuring over a hundred artists depicting their favorite dog breed in various art mediums. part of the proceeds from each sale go to a local animal hospital (hooray!). you can view all show pieces here. i feel so lucky to have gotten this one of a kind piece especially b/c it looks so much like suni (even though suni is a maltese, not a bichon frise). in my mind, suni was m+k's inspiration and i thank them for creating a piece that will always hold so much meaning to me.
if that wasn't enough, i received a parcel from maz containing the plush above, as well as some candy i forgot to snap a photo of. >.< i had no idea she was sending me such lovely things!! and how lucky am i to receive a treehugger prototype plush? thank you mazzle, i love them to bits!!

while browsing TADO's website last week (something i do more often than i care to say), i stumbled upon this beauty! it's their interpretation of lovely miss maffy. she has never looked better!! i, of course, inquired about this darling little painting and found out (to my sadness) that it resides somewhere in the devilrobots' dungeon in japan. hmm, i need to somehow find a way to coerce them into selling it to me!! because you know, i don't own enough TADO pieces. ^_^
this isn't new, but .. radiohead are so good. i have a playlist i made months ago comprised of my favorite songs from each album and today i set it on repeat and listened to it all day. it's something i do on a weekly basis. can't wait for their new album to drop. i should hop on a few RH message boards and see if anything has leaked yet.
have been trying to contact the merry karnowsky all day to inquire about a few prints for miss kara, but no one will pick up the phone. frustrating! someone has to be there. what are they doing, screening calls like i do? .. ha. damn them. guess i'll have to try again tomorrow. oh! found out her show has been extended another week! perhaps i can talk someone into going with me to see it one more time before it ends.
i found my dream blythe. so excited! she's currently in transit somewhere over the pacific. i'm hoping she arrives sooner than the 2 week ETA the seller gave me. *fingers crossed*
i started my bible studying again, yay! for no apparent reason i stopped reading all together in the beginning of december. usually when i stay away for too long, the Lord calls me back. and He did, thankfully. i always feel so much better spiritually + mentally when i have my thoughts + mind set upon Him. He's so good!!
i also had a this amazing dream about the rapture. it's the second time i've had this dream (not exactly the same), though it's been years since the first one. it was so vivid and beautiful. more beautiful than i can verbalize. i hope it was more of a vision than a dream.
anyone a fan of goldfish crackers? i'm addicted to them. we've got small bags of the original cheddar, flavor burst extra cheddar (my personal favorite), parmesan (mmm!), and jalapeno cheedar (mmm, spicy!). thought i'd be tired of them by now, but no .. my love is going strong!!

this post is completely self-serving. i just wanted an excuse to post these photos. ^_^
the top photo is my current favorite of camille rose. not only is she wearing one of my favorite squeaky monkey outfits, but the backdrop is TADO! my two obsessions merged together. what could be better?
the second photo shows my mom's second blythe (left), a nameless mademoiselle rosebud, along with prudence on the right. camille looks bored, ha.
the giclee canvas print i purchased way back in august at kidrobot l.a. for TADO's show, "cannibal funfair", finally arrived last week!! it is gorgeous! photos, like always, don't do it justice. the colors are incredibly lush and with it's generous size (23" x 33"), it's as if the piece pulls you in and transports you to another world. i cannot stop looking at it. i want to be sitting next to the wee panda trying my hand at fishing! aahhh, it's so fantastic! after having to be reprinted per mike + katie's request (printer screwed up the first batch of show pieces >.<) and then being accidentally sent back to the UK (instead of me), i almost can't believe it's right here in front of me to touch! it's such a beautiful piece and my favorite one to date. how blessed i feel to own such a thing! talk about good things come to those who wait. this was definitely worth the wait!
as if that wasn't enough, i received TWO boxes today containing loads of goodies! merry christmas to me! i have no idea how i ever deserved any of this. the only thing i can think of is mike + katie have so much love for me personally, they're unable to contain it nor keep it to themselves and it's manifested through paint and vinyl, haha.
the yellow painting (which is hand painted, not a print) came about by me buying two blank canvases (one for me, the other for mazzy) and bringing them with me to cannibal funfair to have m+k doodle on them. i also brought a handful of colorful paint markers they could use to have fun and go doodle crazy with. when i arrived, they asked if it would be okay if they took the canvases back to the hotel to do a proper job. of course i agreed.
to top things off, mike + katie sent me the white (gold ticket) love dunny, their yellow sqwert, and an evil pinky they were kind of to customize for me! needless to say, i've been on a high ALL day. like i've said before, their work brings me such great joy. every one of their toys, plush, paintings that i own makes me so happy. their designs truly make my heart smile. must be why i want to be surrounded by their work. it brings sunshine to my cloudy days.

opening reception of camille's solo show at the merry karnowsky gallery opens this saturday night from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. i'm hoping to go. i've been looking forward to this show for months and would love to meet camille in person after only corresponding via email. the painting above is gorgeous! i'm in love with the colors. i should give taggylee a call and see if she's flying down for it. last time we talked she wasn't sure. something about already flying down the following weekend to attend a friend's wedding. bad timing! i was really hoping to see her. perhaps she'll surprise me and say she's coming after all.
i'm not going to get into politics, but let me just say how glad i am voting is over and done with. i absolutely abhor election time in this country. the amount of mudslinging and name calling is all so pathetic. adults regress back to kids and we're bombarded with commericials and phone messages promoting this person and slamming that person. we, no exaggeration, received at least one (sometimes two) phone message recordings a day promoting a candidate or proposition. ugh, it's enough to make you wish you lived in another country!
thank God for blythe! .. haha. she has kept me sane through all of this. over the course of a few weeks, my mom and i have purchased some incredibly cute clothes for ours girls. i want so badly to post photos of our purchases, but think i will wait until it all arrives and have another shoot with our girls. oh the joy of dollies!! i feel like such a little girl saying that .. haha.
another bit of goodness - my TADO cannibal funfair canvas should finally be arriving in about a week! exciting! not only that, but m+k are sending me and mazzy a little something special very soon! i'm not at liberty to say what even though i've seen said items and am dying to reveal it. but soon, very soon!
